Sindell Law Offices E-Min Newsletter (Vol. 11) - English Article #45
Many of you have read about the DOL's creation of backlog centers to deal with pending RIR cases and traditional cases. The first important bit of news is that you can contact the backlog centers about your case and to receive confirmation that they have received your case. There are many cases still in boxes on their loading docks so don't expect an immediate response, but you can e-mail the Philadelphia Backlog Center at status@phi.dflc.us and the Dallas Backlog Center at status@dal.dflc.us and request an update on your RIR or traditional case. We have also learned that the backlog centers are going to have two separate product lines, traditional and RIR, so they will be working on these cases separately. In addition, we have informed our readers that the backlog centers have received two years of funding to get through the backlog. However, they are now informing us, even before they have started one case, that they are projecting 30 months of operation. Stay tuned for further delays.
